Updated 2017 Chrysler Pacifica Gives Families the One Thing They Want Most

What makes a good family vehicle? One important feature is space -- room to grow, room to breathe, room to haul all the softball gear, sleeping bags, favorite toys, and dorm-room furniture. Another is technology -- like the revolutionary "Are We There Yet" app to keep the kids occupied and happy in the back seat.

However, the biggest worry in any parent's mind is safety. "What happens if I'm in an accident? Will my kids be okay?"

The 2017 Chrysler Pacifica delivers. After initial testing by the Insurance Institute for Highway Safety uncovered a few flaws in the Pacifica's ability to handle a small-overlap frontal impact (the kind where only a fraction of the vehicle's front end is involved in the crash), the engineering team at Chrysler went to work. The updated 2017 Pacifica (models produced after August 2016) was re-tested, and came out as the only minivan of the year to earn an IIHS Top Safety Pick+.
